Terms of Service
Effective July 14, 2026
1. Who we are
DriverCheck ("we," "us," "the Platform") is an independent transparency tool for the U.S. commercial trucking industry. We are not a law firm, employer, staffing agency, brokerage, or motor carrier. Nothing on the Platform is legal, financial, employment, or safety advice.
2. Who can use DriverCheck
- You must be 18 or older.
- Driver accounts require a valid U.S. Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Company accounts must be created by an authorized representative of the motor carrier.
- One account per person or per carrier. Duplicate, fake, or shared accounts may be removed without notice.
3. Verification
We take reasonable steps to verify CDLs and carrier identity, but verification is not a guarantee of accuracy, character, safety record, or fitness for employment. Users are responsible for confirming information before making hiring, employment, or business decisions.
4. User content
Reviews, ratings, comments, and reports ("User Content") are the opinions and statements of the individual users who post them. You are solely responsible for what you post. You agree that your User Content will be:
- Truthful and based on your own first-hand experience;
- Free of defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or unlawful statements;
- Free of confidential information you are not permitted to share (e.g., protected trade secrets, sealed settlements);
- Free of personal contact information about other individuals.
By posting, you grant DriverCheck a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your User Content on the Platform.
5. Prohibited use
- Scraping, reselling, or bulk-copying Platform data.
- Automated posting, fake reviews, or coordinated review manipulation.
- Uploading malware or attempting to breach security.
- Using the Platform to harass, threaten, or dox any person.
- Impersonating another driver, carrier, or DriverCheck staff.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans (currently $3.99/month verified drivers and $8.99/month verified companies) are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues through the end of the paid period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
7. Class action information
Case summaries in the Class Actions section are compiled from public court records and news reports. They are informational only and are not legal advice or a solicitation. Confirm eligibility and deadlines with the court-appointed class counsel or a licensed attorney before acting.
8. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that content is accurate, complete, or current.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriverCheck is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to DriverCheck in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which DriverCheck is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction.
